Outfished - Caps with Character

Australian saltwater fishing is brutal on gear. Sun, salt spray, hours on the deck, glare bouncing off blue water. A cap that works in a paddock doesn’t work past the heads.

The Outfished Saltwater range is designed for the species that define Aussie ocean fishing and the conditions that come with chasing them.

The Salties range covers:

Marlin (The Bill) for game days off the Sunshine Coast and Cape Bowling Green. Snapper (The Knobby) for reef sessions across Moreton Bay and the southern grounds. Giant Trevally (The GT) for tropical reef and headland fishing.

Mahi Mahi (The Bull) and Yellowfin Tuna (The YFT) for offshore pelagic days. Kingfish (The Kingy) for the Sydney–Hawkesbury system. Bull Shark (The Noah) for the Brisbane River and east coast estuaries.

Flathead (The Lizard) and Threadfin Salmon (The Threadie) for estuary work where saltwater meets freshwater pressure.

What makes a saltwater fishing cap different:

Breathability matters more offshore because heat builds up fast on a deck. Mesh backs aren’t a style choice, they’re a necessity.

Curved brims cut glare better than flat brims when you’re scanning the water for working birds or surface action.

The cap also needs to dry quickly between sessions. Salt spray, sweat, the occasional dunking; a saturated cap stays saturated all day if it’s the wrong material.

The Outfished Salties are built for it. For more on offshore rituals, the Big Baits, Big Bills article walks through what a typical marlin day actually looks like.

Each style is inspired by a species, a place, or a moment on the water — offshore, estuary, or freshwater.

Wear your Outfished cap anywhere and everywhere + look better than your mates.
