Where to find bull sharks in Australia
Bull sharks (locally called "noah's", short for "Noah's Ark") show up across most of the warmer half of the country and push deep into rivers and estuaries far from the sea.
The Brisbane River is the most famous bull shark water in Australia. Adults patrol the river right through the CBD and well upstream past Ipswich.
The Tweed, Richmond, Clarence and Bellinger rivers in northern NSW all hold healthy populations through the warmer months.
Sydney Harbour and the Parramatta River have a stable resident population, with the biggest fish around the deepwater wharves.
Far North Queensland creeks, estuaries and tropical river systems hold them year-round.
The Top End, particularly the Adelaide and Daly rivers, has serious populations that share the water with barra anglers.
What makes a good bull shark fishing cap
